Mazepin gained control of Uralkali
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian fertilizer producer Uralchem Dmitry Mazepin has acquired control over Uralkali, a buyer said.
As a result of the deal, which was financed by Sberbank (MCX: SBER), Uralchem obtained the right to manage over 75% of the capital of Uralkali (MCX: URKA), one of the world's largest producers of potash fertilizers.,
Uralchem bought 37.4% of Uralkali, increasing its stake to 81.04% from 46.3%, follows from the message of the latter.
At the same time, the Cypriot company Rinsoco Trading, owned by businessman Dmitry Lobyak, Mazepin's partner, reduced its stake in Uralkali to 18.96% from 53.7%.
