(Reuters) - Indexes S&The P 500 and the Nasdaq hit record highs on Tuesday amid hopes that major pharmaceutical companies will begin shipping coronavirus vaccines by the end of the year, with better-than-expected data from China bolstered confidence in an early economic recovery..

Investors are closely following news of leading vaccine candidates and global shipments as pharmaceutical companies apply for regulatory approvals.
